Do I need to do something?

December 16, 2011

I think something most people will wonder about, is if they have to do something to help change the outcome of a situation. Or they'll do the opposite and think they don't need to do anything because God's purpose will be done in their life and they don't need to worry about a thing. Which is right?

They're both right!

In this situation it is never either or. You can not control the outcome of your life all on your own without the help of God. And God can not do anything in your life if you think it's not going to involve you actually doing anything!

"Maybe I won't say this to that person..", or "Maybe I need to do something about this in order to get to the outcome I would like." Both of those thoughts can turn out to be a big fat bummer.

Something I have learned over the years is that you can not create the future God intends for you without letting God have control, but also that God can not do anything in your life if you're not willing to step out and do what you feel he's telling you to do.

This applies to everything. From everything involving what car to buy to where should I move, what job to take or who should I marry. It goes both ways, so let God in, and be readily willing.
